Takara released the third set of PVC figures (ACT-3) in July and my order from BigBadToyStore arrived today, 16 July 2001.  There are 12 figures (6 clear & 6 colored) plus 2 chase figures; Re-incarnation of Megatron & Battle Damaged Convoy.  There are also "Bonus Parts" included in ACT-3 that create Fortress Maximus (clear or color).

Masashi Kitano provided me with the following case breakdown:

12 boxes = 1 case
10 cases = 1 carton (120 figures)

1 case with "Battle Damaged Convoy"
1 case with "Re-incarnation of Megatron"
1 case with "clear Fortress Maximus (6 parts)"
1 case with "colored Fortress Maximus (6 parts)"
6 cases of "clear & colored figures"

On the back of each box is a photo of Fortress Maximus with labels identifying the 6 parts:
A = Head & Sword
B = Body
C = Right-Arm
D = Left-Arm
E = Right-Leg
F = Left-Leg

I was lucky enough to have a case that contained parts for a clear Fortress Maximus minus the clear oval S.C.F. stand.  The parts were found within each of the 6 colored figures.

The case measures 11"x6.25"x6" and does not have a sticker underneath to identify the contents of each case as they have in the past.  You just don't know what you'll get.  It was a good idea to remove the stickers from this release which really prevents dealers from hoarding all of the cases that have "chase" figures.

The box containing these figures measures approximately 3" wide, 5 3/4" tall (including flap), and 1 7/8" deep.  Each figure is about 3" tall and is quite detailed.  My clear Fortress Maximus is slightly taller than the rest measuring 4" in height.  On the other hand, Bumble Bee & Spike don't quite meet the 3" height requirements measuring approximately 2.5" and 2" respectively.

Each figure is partially assembled and wrapped in a clear baggy within the box.  In addition, each figure comes with a clear oval S.C.F. stand that has a single peg which connects to the figures foot.  I've included photos of the figures connected to their stands below.
