It's All About Jeeg! |
This page is dedicated to any
items I find or acquire that are related to Koutetsu Jeeg. My collection is very
limited since Jeeg isn't at the top of my list of toys to collect. I know that there
are Machinder dolls (Black and a White version) but are way too expensive. They are
too cool though...not to mention HUGE!

DIE-CAST KOUTETSU JEEG
& COMIC SET |
|

|

3-3/4" Die-Cast Koutetsu Jeeg
|
|
This is a comic and Marmit 3
¾"
die-cast set I purchased at our local hobby shop which was released in 1999 by Dynamic.
The sticker on the packaging says Koutetsu Jeeg and Mini Metal2 which I believe is
a line created by Dynamic for Machinder figures such as Getta Robot, Mazinger Z, etc.
As a matter of fact, Getta is also shown on the cover of this comic with Jeeg.
Super Robot Comics has 28 pages (cover to cover) in B&W.
The gist of the comic is Jeeg fighting a beast, fires his Knuckle Bomb and Spin Storm
weapons, eventually getting smacked around. Getta Robot comes to the rescue and
defeats the beast.
The die-cast model has some moveable parts; limited
movement at the neck, shoulders, and hips. This is a very nice looking model as you
can see in the photo. Yet another fine addition to my collection.

SUPER REAL
FIGURE MACHINE PRIZE |
|

|
|
 |
This is a machine prize that I
received from Clay Enniss eons ago which is made of hard rubber. Each figure is
packaged in a bag with a photo sheet (above) and encased in a "egg-like"
shell. I have Panzeroid and Ga-keen and hopefully someday will have Jeeg, Plus &
Minus, and Balatak.
Each figure stands about 3"
in height and comes in various pieces which connect together to create each figure.
Ga-keen also came with another set of arms with posts so that Plus & Minus can be
attached as weapons as depicted on the sheet above.
I added some magnets to Ga-keen's feet since he has a
natural "lean". Neat little toys in my opinion! |

Ga-keen, Plus, Minus, Jeeg, Panzeroid, and Balatak |
Well,
I just received the rest of the gang from Clay on the 15th of May! I don't know what
it is about these figures that has caught my interest but they are a must have.
These figures come with various appendages (minus Panzeroid) and are listed below:
Ga-keen -- extra arms with posts for Plus
& Minus attachments
Plus & Minus -- extra arms
Jeeg -- extra arm posts for his drill attachments
Balatak -- extra head and arm post for his drill attachment
I spent a few hours tweaking these figures to
include magnets under their feet as well as outline the grooves with a black multi-liner
pen. You can see the difference in the photo of Panzeroid & Ga-keen and the
group photo. I tried to make each figure appear as it does on the sheet and think
I've accomplished this feat.

SUPER ROBOT JEEG (SR-05) |
|

|

|
I've
had my eye on this guy as long as I can remember. But with a retail price of
¥7,300
I just kept passing it by. On 9 January 2001, I noticed that he was placed on sale
and I couldn't pass up this deal and purchased my first Machinder figure.
The box is huge measuring
11"x6"x20" with the figure standing at approximately 15" tall.
This is just one of 7 Marmit Super Robot figures which has very limited articulation;
feet, hips, shoulders, elbows, and fists. It is a nicely painted figure but has one
noticeable problem. He has two right feet. Someone made a mistake or was
trying to be funny :P He stands up just fine so I'm not upset with the fact that I
have a defective figure. It's all good and all Jeeg!! |
